It just seems to be a ‘chat’ room that shows clips of goals that you generally don't care to associate any time to. A room that only ever seems to be noticeably used by random spammers/spanners. Like re-runs of WWF, whoever watches the goals are either unstable, bored, in denial, desperate or a combination of all 4.
I think it could VERY simply be enhanced if there were a button to stop the goal clips being shown in the TV Lounge so you could just see the current scores. Sometimes I don’t really want to gatecrash a game (or let the other manager know I care!) so seeing the vide-printer style scores appear is handy. This change has been acknowledged in Beta, logged as a potential future change, but that was several months, and 2 upgrades, ago
At the moment I get a few seconds to try and locate the the scores I want... and then the goal clips kick in. It just flaunts itself like a flasher jumping out on you at a tube station entrance. I'm in trauma. Cue re-runs of men in bikinis pretending to fight each other….. I can’t change screen quick enough. The therapist's bills are on the way to you SI !
Agreed. I liked a suggestion a while back that each FA chatroom would be a TV lounge, so you'd only get to see highlights relating to matches that you might be interested in, stimulating a bit of chat.

I had what I thought was a brilliant idea for the TV lounge some time ago - rather than treating it as a clips show, it would instead show entire matches that were occurring in real-time in the gameworld. The most "important" matches would have precedence (i.e. Gold Cup semifinals, FA Cup finals, top of the league matchups etc.) though if we wanted to get a tad more complex we could have separate channels for each FA that would show only their "local" matches and then a "global" channel. Then we could announcements in all of the chat rooms whenever an important match was started with a link to take you directly to that match in the TV Lounge!
ReplyDeleteOnly problem for me is that I don;t really care about watching other epoples games unless it is a hugely mportant one. But, if there is demand, having a central room for games could be good.

I wish that the TV Lounge could be set up that it only shows certain games. For example, during the WC - only show WC matches.
